And it all happened in someone’s barn.

The man’s name was Kenneth Pinyan, also known as “Mr. Hands,” and he travelled from Seattle to Washington State to participate in intercourse with an Arabian stallion.

Apparently these types of things, known as bestiality have been happening for years at a farm near the city Enumclaw in Washington.

And the private gatherings only became public when this 45-year-old Seattle man died after having sex with the horse.

It was said that Pinyan suffered a perforated colon from receptive anal intercourse from the Arabian stallion.

It happened in 2005, and the case was referred to as the “Enumclaw horse sex case,” where video footage of Pinyan and a horse was spread through the Internet. And it was only 1 of at least 100 videos that were taken from the farm in Enumclaw.

Sgt. John Urquhart with the King County Sheriff’s Office:

“If this pans out, it’s the most egregious case that we’ve heard of.” “We don’t have deaths that result from this activity, nobody can remember when anything like this has ever happened.”

In other cases, “Smaller animals have been seriously injured and/or killed,” says Regional Director Bob Reder. Or, after the act, disposed of by horrible means.”

As of 2006, one year after the “Enumclaw horse sex case”, bestiality become illegal in Washington, and as of 2012 it it illegal in 37 states in the U.S.

A documentary of the life and death of Pinyan and the life led by those who came to the farm near Enumclaw, debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 2007 under the title Zoo. And following Sundance, it was selected as one of the top five American films to be presented at the Directors Fortnight sidebar at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

6 Strangest Jobs You Never Knew Existed

odd-jobs

Choosing a career path can be difficult; how do you know what you want to do for the rest of your life? If you haven’t found something that captivates you yet, why not try a job that no one has heard of?

These uncommon jobs are all things you never knew existed–and now that we know, we want to try them all. Here are 6 of the strangest jobs in the world, and some of the requirements of a person holding the title.

1. Hotel Test Sleeper

If your dream is to travel the world and sleep in, then this is the position for you. A hotel test sleeper is just like it sounds: you jet-set around to different hotels and test out the rooms and beds. Oh, and you’ll have to test out everything else, from the  big things like service, to the little things like the texture of the toilet paper. Nothing can be missed, so only type A need apply.

2. Professional Cuddler

This job has become more and more common over the last few years, especially with apps like Cuddlr and Cuddle Comfort making it super easy to find a stranger to wrap their arms around you. If you don’t have any problems with touching strangers (a lot of strangers), then this job might be for you. Especially good cuddlers can charge about $80 an hour, too, so you can finally put your love of touch to good use.

3. Google Street View Photographer

You have probably checked out Google Street View at some time in your life. But you probably never considered how those pictures ended up on the internet! Someone has to do it, so why not you? You’ll get to travel the world and take photographs of some of the world’s coolest places. There’s only one negative: you’ll have to use a Trekker, the 40-pound filming device attached to your back.

4. Tequilier

A combination of the words “tequila” and “sommelier,” a Tequilier is the person who lets patrons know what kind of tequila is best paired with their meals at upscale resorts and restaurants. You must be an expert in all things tequila–and not just which ones you like, but which brands should be purchased by a specific restaurant, and how best to create cocktails for a restaurant’s bar menu as well. Hope you like shots!

5. Horticultural Therapist

Being a regular therapist is so boring. Why not add a knowledge of plants to the mix? Because gardening has been proven to help people relax, these therapists include the activity into their sessions, using plants to help patients overcome illnesses and disabilities. And for $60,000+ a year, who wouldn’t be willing to dig around in the mud a little?

6. Ninja Master

According to a Twitter user in Japan, a listing for this unique career appeared on a Japanese government work site. The Ninja Master would be responsible for training at the martial arts school in Koka. But don’t quit your day job just yet: the pay for this position is only $6.35 to $8.50 an hour, and although you’d get to wear full ninja gear and have access to an arsenal of weapons, the part-time gig probably won’t support you.

I can’t wait for the year 2042 when I get to tell my children, “well, kids, before I met your father, he had a lavender beard and tangerine hair because having hair like a male mermaid was a popular trend.”
At which point they’ll say, “Wow Mom, you guys were lame. I’m going hover-boarding on Mars.”
But seriously, merman hair is trending on Instagram and Pinterest, now that man buns are so early 2015. It saddens me to see such a great trend make its way out, but at least we’ll have men with pastel beards to console us.

Mermaid hair has been a popular style among women for quite a while.

While men previously favored looks like this:

If you had to take a guess of what the most dangerous animal in the world is, most of you would probably guess a shark.

And especially after watching Shark Week, we all are pretty fearsome of these deadly underwater predators.

But wait, the shark is not the most dangerous animal! Rather a creature you would never expect is, and it is pretty tiny- something you would never guess.

AND, this creature beat out humans as being the most dangerous, and we can all agree that we can be pretty destructive beings.

Let’s take a look at the animals that are surprisingly NOT most dangerous:

Your Next Tinder Match Might Be With Jennifer Lawrence

Tinder is the hottest dating app that exploded onto social media about three years ago. The model is an interesting one that other dating websites didn’t even think of trying. While sites like Match.com, eHarmony, and OKCupid have you fill out questionnaires and match you based on compatibility, algorithms, statistics, witchcraft, astrophysics, and a pinch of alchemy, Tinder uses the tactic humanity has been using for the past 200,000 years–stereotyping.

When you walk into a bar with the idea of potentially meeting somebody, do you fill out a survey with the bartender who then escorts you to the nearest freelance writer who also has an interest in surfing and lives in Tribeca? No, of course, not.

I pose another scenario: say you walk into this same bar (compatibility surveys not included) and you happen to walk by a girl wearing a floor length maxi skirt, crop top, and dreadlocks with beads in her hair. Next to her is another attractive woman wearing a gray pencil skirt, blouse, and tight ponytail with comb lines (I have no idea why they’re in the same bar; just go with it). Chances are, you’re going to infer differences between the two fairly quickly, based on how their personal styles speak about them. Yeah, that’s basically how human beings have been doing it for a decently long time. Tinder, observing this method, basically brought the bar to your phone (who uses Tinder sober anyway?).

And, while Tinder doesn’t disclose exactly how many users are actively swiping on their app, they have said there are upwards of a billion swipes every single day (for the newbies or those in LTRs, a right “swipe” means you like the person and a left “swipe” means, “see you later”). Tinder turns it into a game, phrasing it with the options to send a message, or “keep playing.”

And who wouldn’t want to get in on a fun game? Well, apparently celebrities are looking to ride the Tinder tide. It must be really hard getting a date as a celebrity–no, really. If you think your issues are rough, they have won the game of first world problems. When you’re a celebrity, you can’t just walk into a dive bar and chat with a hottie drinking whisky in the corner because everybody wants to be around you.

Celebrities must have a really hard time meeting new (ordinary) people. They see a hundred fans a day, but those people are always fawning all over them, and as a celebrity you can’t actually have a conversation lasting more than a few minutes. There is literally a line of people waiting to talk to you. So what do you do? You date Calvin Harris, Harry Styles, and Jake Gyllenhaal (like I said, being a celebrity is REALLY hard).

But Tinder has recently come out with a fancy new feature for celebrities who want to get in on the hookup scene. If you match with Liam Hemsworth on Tinder you’re probably going to think, “yeah right.”

However, just like Twitter verifies celebrity accounts, Tinder will do the same, giving celebrities that chance to privately chat with ordinary people, get to know them, and possibly meet up for coffee (because why would you date Ryan Gosling when you can date an accountant from New Jersey who still lives with his parents?). And a few celebrities have even mentioned their Tinder usage, like Lindsay Lohan. So, next time you’re on Tinder, keep and eye out for Anna Kendrick.

How Much You Should Be Exercising for a Longer Life

Living a healthy life involves eating fresh, nutrient dense foods, getting enough sleep, and of course, getting enough exercise. However, the question that has long been debated is just exactly how much exercise should you be getting to live a long, healthy life?

Thanks to two new large-scale studies, which were published in JAMA Internal Medicine, we now have an answer.

The first study looked at data collected by six ongoing health surveys that asked people to report the amount of exercise they do per week. After studying the data, the researchers, some of whom were from the National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, Harvard, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, were able to categorize the activity levels of more than 661,000 people into four categories. The first was people who reported not exercising at all, the second was for those who exercised but did not reach the recommended 150 minutes of moderate cardio per week, the third category included those who exercised two to three times that recommended amount, and finally the fourth category was for those who exercised three to five or more times the weekly recommendation.

The researchers then compared that information to 14 years worth of death records for the group, and found that those who did not exercise at all were at the highest risk of dying prematurely. The second group, or those who exercised less than 21 minutes per day, surprisingly had a 20 percent lower risk of death compared to those who didn’t work out at all, which proves that any little bit of exercise helps. People who exercised one to two times the recommendation, or approximately 300 minutes per week, were 31 percent less likely to die early, and those in the last category, who exercised three to five times the minimum recommendation (just 64 minutes a day), had a 39 percent lower risk of early death compared to those who didn’t exercise at all.

The second study, which examined the exercise intensity levels of more than 200,000 Australian adults from survey data, and came to very similar conclusions. The study found that those who consider at least 30 percent of their work outs to be vigorous had a nine percent lower risk of death than those who exercised at more moderate intensity levels. If more than 30 percent of exercise was vigorous, the study found that the lowered mortality risk jumped from nine to 13 percent.

The bottom line is that any amount of exercise- even moderate exercise like walking- each day will help you lead a healthier, and longer life.

Watch This Man Completely Lose It Over a Case of Clorox Wipes

Remember Plato’s allegory of the cave:

It’s a philosophical analogy used to describe how we think about the world and education. Basically, a man spends his life in a cave, chained to a chair, with his head fixed in the direction of a wall where he can only see shadows flickering across it. Likewise, he can only hear the echoes of people near the entrance of the cave. One day, this man escapes the cave and sees “real life” for the first time. What would his reaction be to the real world?

Movies like The Matrix and The Truman Show have interpreted this thought into entertaining films, but a colorblind man named Ethan has given us a real world perspective of what it actually must be like.

Ethan was born colorblind and he’s never seen purple. However, he has an awesome friend who got him a pair of classes that correct colorblindness. This friend gave Ethan the glasses without telling him what the glasses do. Ethan’s reaction will make you cry tears of joy.

His wonder and excitement abut the world is like a child discovering candy for the first time. He completely loses it when he sees a purple case of Clorox wipes. When he goes outside for the first time, you’ll think he’s on drugs. He frolics in the grass and is struck by awe when he sees a flag sticking out of the ground.

It’s the most inspiring thing you’ll watch all week and you will never take purple for granted again:

20 Tips To Become More Powerful

bellenews.com

“Power is the measure of the degree of control you have over the circumstances in your life and the actions of the people around you. It is a skill that is developed by a deep understanding of human nature, of what truly motivates people, and of the manipulations necessary for advancement and protection.”

This quote, as well as the ones we will discuss below are by an author named Robert Greene, who wrote The 48 Laws of Power. All of our tips come from that book, and they are truly amazing, as they are things most people probably would never even think of.

These tips will help you develop more power over people in your life to help with business and life in general.

LifeDaily’s 20 Tips To Become More Powerful:

1. Never outshine the master

“Always make those above you feel comfortably superior. In your desire to please or impress them, do not go too far in displaying your talents or you might accomplish the opposite — inspire fear and insecurity. Make your masters appear more brilliant than they are and you will attain the heights of power.”

2. Never put too much trust in friends

“Be wary of friends — they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused to envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.”

3. Conceal your intentions

“Keep people off-balance and in the dark by never revealing the purpose behind your actions. If they have no clue what you are up to, they cannot prepare a defense. Guide them far enough down the wrong path, envelop them in enough smoke, and by the time they realize your intentions, it will be too late.”

4. Always say less when necessary

“When you are trying to impress people with words, the more you say, the more common you appear, and the less in control. Even if you are saying something banal, it will seem original if you make it vague, open-ended, and sphinxlike. Powerful people impress and intimidate by saying less. The more you say, the more likely you are to say something foolish.”

5. So much depends on reputation

“Reputation is the cornerstone of power. Through reputation alone you can intimidate and win; once it slips, however, you are vulnerable, and will be attacked on all sides. Make your reputation unassailable. Always be alert to potential attacks and thwart them before they happen. Meanwhile, learn to destroy your enemies by opening holes in their own reputations. Then stand aside and let public opinion hang them.”

6. Court attention at all costs

“Everything is judged by its appearance; what is unseen counts for nothing. Never let yourself get lost in the crowd, then, or buried in oblivion. Stand out. Be conspicuous, at all cost. Make yourself a magnet of attention by appearing larger, more colorful, more mysterious than the bland and timid masses.”

7. Get others to do the work for you, but always take the credit

“Use the wisdom, knowledge, and legwork of other people to further your own cause. Not only will such assistance save you valuable time and energy, it will give you a godlike aura of efficiency and speed. In the end your helpers will be forgotten and you will be remembered. Never do yourself what others can do for you.”

8. Make other people come to you- use bait if necessary

“When you force the other person to act, you are the one in control. It is always better to make your opponent come to you, abandoning his own plans in the process. Lure him with fabulous gains — then attack. You hold the cards.”

9. Win through your actions- not argument

“Any momentary triumph you think you have gained through argument is really a Pyrrhic victory. The resentment and ill will you stir up is stronger and lasts longer than any momentary change of opinion. It is much more powerful to get others to agree with you through your actions, without saying a word. Demonstrate, do not explicate.”

10. Infection: Avoid the happy and the unlucky

“You can die from someone else’s misery — emotional states are as infectious as diseases. You may feel you are helping the drowning man but you are precipitating your own disaster. The unfortunate sometimes draw misfortune on themselves; they will also draw it on you. Associate with the happy and fortunate instead.”

11. Learn to keep people dependent on you

“To maintain your independence you must always be needed and wanted. The more you are relied on, the more freedom you have. Make people depend on you for their happiness and prosperity and you have nothing to fear. Never teach them enough so that they can do without you.”

12. Use selective honesty and generosity to disarm your victim

“One sincere and honest move will cover over dozens of dishonest ones. Open-hearted gestures of honesty and generosity bring down the guard of even the most suspicious people. Once your selective honesty opens a hole in their armor, you can deceive and manipulate them at will. A timely gift — a Trojan horse — will serve the same purpose.”

13. Asking for help appeal to people’s self interest, never to their mercy or gratitude

“If you need to turn to an alley for help, do not bother to remind him of your past assistance and good deeds. He will find a way to ignore you. Instead, uncover something in your request, or in your alliance with him, that will benefit him, and emphasize it out of all proportion. He will respond enthusiastically when he sees something to be gained for himself.”

14. Pose as a friend, work as a spy

“Knowing about your rival is critical. Use spies to gather valuable information that will keep you a step ahead. Better still: Play the spy yourself. In polite social encounters, learn to probe. Ask indirect questions to get people to reveal their weakness and intentions. There is no occasion that is not an opportunity for artful spying.”

15. Crush your enemy totally

“All great leaders since Moses have known that a feared enemy must be crushed completely. (Sometimes they have learned this the hard way.) If one ember is left alight, no matter how dimly it smolders, a fire will eventually break out. More is lost through stopping halfway than through total annihilation: The enemy will recover, and will seek revenge. Crush him, not only in body but in spirit.”

16. Use absence to increase respect and honor

“Too much circulation makes the price go down: The more you are seen and heard from, the more common you appear. If you are already established in a group, temporary withdrawal from it will make you more talked about, even more admired. You must learn when to leave. Create value through scarcity.”

17. Keep others in suspended terror: cultivate an air of unpredictability

“Humans are creatures of habit with an insatiable need to see familiarity in other people’s actions. Your predictability gives them a sense of control. Turn the tables: Be deliberately unpredictable. Behavior that seems to have no consistency or purpose will keep them off-balance, and they will wear themselves out trying to explain your moves. Taken to an extreme, this strategy can intimidate and terrorize.”

18. Do not build fortresses to protect yourself- isolation is dangerous

“The world is dangerous and enemies are everywhere — everyone has to protect themselves. A fortress seems the safest. But isolation exposes you to more dangers than it protects you from — it cuts you off from valuable information, it makes you conspicuous and an easy target. Better to circulate among people, find allies, mingle. You are shielded from your enemies by the crowd.”

19. Know who you’re dealing with- do not offend the wrong person

“There are many different kids of people in the world, and you can never assume that everyone will react to your strategies in the same way. Deceive or outmaneuver some people and they will spend the rest of their lives seeking revenge. They are wolves in lambs’ clothing. Choose your victims and opponents carefully, then — never offend or deceive the wrong person.”

20. Do not commit to anyone

“It is the fool who always rushes to take sides. Do not commit to any side or cause by yourself. By maintaining your independence, you become the master of others — playing people against one another, making them pursue you.”

Remember this gal?

She’s the grumpiest cat on the internet and became a meme sensation not too long ago. Tadar Sauce, better known as grumpy cat, became an internet celebrity for her foul face. Her grumpy expression is actually due to a form of dwarfism that gave her a flat face, bubble eyes, and a short tail. Despite the permanent frown, Tatar Sauce is actually a normal cat most of the time. But man, the internet loves her negative look.

She knows something you don’t, and that’s why she’s so happy. Perhaps her and grumpy cat are planning world domination together, or maybe they’re both competing.

Either way, here’s what we expect an interaction between them to look like:

Reading is a top priority to many successful people, and avid readers have an increased chance of achieving success.

LifeDaily highlights why in 9 Reasons Why Readers Tend To Be A Lot More Successful:

1. They are more focused

Reading isn’t a quick process. Readers must take breaks, although an avid reader simply cannot put down a good book for a long time once they’ve gotten into it. Being able to dedicate a chunk of your time to reading a book helps to increase your focus.

2. They set goals

Readers set goals for themselves when they sit down with a good book. Whether it’s carving out how long they will spend a day reading, or deciding to read until a certain concept is solidified in their minds, readers have a mission when they begin reading.

3. They have incredible writing and speaking skills

An avid readers vocabulary is quite large. From reading some of the greatest novels of all time, readers become so passionate that they are able to translate that into their writing and speaking skills, by being extremely well-spoken.

4. They have increased memory

Readers understand how powerful the brain is, and that it never stops growing. It can hold an unlimited capacity of information, and readers know that the more they read, the easier it becomes for them to retain information. It’s just the same as practicing anything else to become better at it.

5.They spend their time wisely

They might have only 15 or 20 minutes before they have to be somewhere, but instead of seeing this as hardly any time, they know that they can get through many pages of a book in this time. A reader uses their time wisely, and so do successful people- they seize every opportunity they have to learn something new.

6. They have perspective

Readers gain insight from reading novels, as they feel as if they’ve lived out the life of many characters. This see various perspectives, and all angles of an issue. Being an avid reader allows you to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, and even if it’s just for a moment, and you remember that experience for the rest of your life.

7. They are reflective

Readers reflect on what they just read, and they use the same effect in their lives. Their ability to be reflective allows them the opportunity to understand how they can be more productive in their lives. They reflect on their choices, and look to find ways to improve.

8. They are educated and informed

Readers don’t just pick up a book to finish it, they read it to take something away from it. They don’t just see reading as getting through a book to say that they read it, they want something more. They want to gain something from it, and they always do.

9. They read to relax

Readers will often read to relax, and to gain knowledge, and even in successful people’s quietest moments, they still strive to improve. Reading to relax increases your knowledge, and allows you to tune out the world- putting you in optimal relaxation mode.

Imagine coming home and finding your dog sitting in your bathroom sink like this!

Well, that’s exactly what happened to this woman when she came home to find her siberian husky giving her sexy eyes, and a come-hither look.

She came home from work as she normally did, but couldn’t find her beloved pup anywhere!

Frantically searching she headed towards the bathroom, and to her surprise there was her dog sitting in the sink!

He might as well have been saying “Well hello there sexy!” because that’s exactly the look he had on his face.

His eyes and the way he is leaning over implies he was waiting for her all day or something.

Which he probably was!

This is just too funny, let’s take a look again:

See How a Graffiti Artist Hilariously ‘Improved’ This Sign

McDonald’s has a billboard that sent a sweet little message to commuters encouraging them to sweeten their day with a stop by the fast food chain.

The chain displayed the ad showing cute little emojis that exhibit the struggle of being a commuter. You’re stuck in stop-and-go traffic due to construction and that makes you sad. Then, McDonald’s comes along and you decide to stuff your face with their amazing, delicious, (and borderline sexual) french fries. And just like that, you’re suddenly happy. McDonald’s happy moral: “eating your feeling brings about good times”

Well, a graffiti artist must have disagreed with this philosophy, so they crept in there and made an addition to the billboard to display the repercussions of eating your feelings. While no actual footage exists of the artistic crime, we can only assume it went something like the following:

First they snuck in all stealthily:

S/he had to bring the necessary supplies:

Then the artistic genius took place:

But when a cop car drove by:

And finally, we see the end result:

Yup, the anonymous artist changed McDonald’s story to show that if you eat your feelings, it might not always result in good times. I wonder who this creative genius is. If you are out there, good sir or ma’am, well done!

Your prayers may have just been answered.

Scientists at Oregon State University and the Food Innovation Center have discovered seaweed that tastes like bacon, but much healthier.

It all started when they started exploring ways to prep and market dulse, which is an especially nutritious strain of seaweed that’s easy and environmentally friendly to grow.

Dulse grows in the wild along the Pacific and Atlantic coastlines. It’s harvested and sold for up to $90 a pound in dried form, and is used as a cooking ingredient or nutritional supplement.

Researcher Chris Langdon and colleagues at Oregon State University have created and patented a new strain of dulse- one he has been growing for the past 15 years.

This strain looks like translucent red lettuce, and is an excellent source of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, containing up to 16% protein in dry weight.

In addition, it is said to have twice the nutritional value of kale!

Chief researcher Chris Langdon:

“When you fry it, which I have done, it tastes like bacon, not seaweed. And it’s a pretty strong bacon flavor.”

Well bacon lovers rejoice!

We cannot wait until we get our hands on some of this sea-weed bacon, and get to taste a healthier version of our favorite breakfast food.

Famed Portland Chef Vitalo Paley, who won Iron Chef America in 2011 is already serving dulse in three of his restaurants!

Chef Vitalo Paley says about his customers:

“At first they didn’t know they needed it, and now they can’t live without it.”

We hope this seaweed-bacon is being served at a restaurant near you soon!
